Living Like Children

Living Like Children

Many religious people think of life with God as a continuous test. As if we are required to pass certain exams to go to Heaven. Not at all. Heaven is for free. Everything God created for us was meant to be free from the beginning. God did not charge us any price for the air we breathe, the water we drink or any of the pleasures of life we have.

Of course, Life has its ups and downs for everybody: atheists and believers alike. We -as believers in Christ- are stronger than others by the hope we have for a better life when we inherit Earth and Heaven. In the current life, The Lord did not create us for suffering and oppression. Yes, we are required sometimes to sacrifice certain things for His sake. But, His all-purpose plan for us is that of grace, happiness and fullness of life on Earth as well as in Heaven. This might be ruined by the sin of people or the problems of a fallen world.

However, nothing can prevent us from enjo528247_171890106302584_1801164837_nying our life that has been given to us, whatever our age may be. Simple child’s play can do. And this is the reward of changing our attitude towards life as of a child to inherit His Kingdom.

And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18: 3)
