Islamic Justice: Living the Sharia dream
In Egypt, any sexual relationship outside marriage is considered a misdemeanor, but the justice works with different standards for different people. In 2010, Girgis Baromie 18 years, a Coptic (Christian), was sentenced for 15 years in prison. His crime was having a sexual relationship with a Muslim Girl. The investigations revealed that he is impotent, and the DNA test was inconclusive. Nobody saw him having any sex with anybody. However, he was sentenced for a long time and his life was ruined.
On the contrary, the Muslim clerk, Ali Wanees, who was arrested while having sex in his car with another Muslim girl, was sentenced on July 22nd 2012 for only 2 years, and the sentence was put on hold. So, he is not going to spend one day in prison.
This is just a sampling of how Islamic justice in Sharia-law works. A Dhimmi like Baromie is always considered an infidel and treated as a second class citizen. To get the idea, Mohammad, the Islamic prophet is the one who put the standard.
In Sahih Al Bukhari Volume 1, Book 3, Number 111:
Abu Juhaifa said, “I asked Ali, ‘Have you got any book (which has been revealed to the Prophet apart from the Qur’an)?’ ‘Ali replied, ‘No, except Allah’s Book or the power of understanding which has been bestowed (by Allah) upon a Muslim or what is (written) in this sheet of paper (with me).’ Abu Juhaifa said, “I asked, ‘What is (written) in this sheet of paper?’ Ali replied, it deals with The Diyya (compensation (blood money) paid by the killer to the relatives of the victim), the ransom for the releasing of the captives from the hands of the enemies, and the law that no Muslim should be killed in Qisas (equality in punishment) for the killing of (a disbeliever).
So according to Mohammad’s teachings, if a Muslim kills an infidel (or a Dhimmi), he should not be sentenced to death. On the other hand if a Muslim kills his fellow Muslim, he should be killed immediately. The standrad is clear. Mulsim believers should be put at a higher status over non-believers. This applies to many ascpects of life in Muslim countires. And what Baromie is suffering from right now in Egyptian prison as a Christian is just a glimpse of the Islamic or Sharia dream in the middle east.
